Booking an appointment on-line

To be able to book an appointment or request a repeat prescription on-line you must first obtain an identification number and password from the Practice.  You are asked to call in at Pickering Surgery with some form of identification to register for this service.  Please contact one of our computer co-ordinators on 01751 471294 or 01751 471295 for further information or to arrange registration.

Booking an appointment by telephone

To arrange an appointment by telephone, please contact us between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on telephone number:

01751 471296 and press 2 for appointments

If your need is not urgent, you are offered the first available appointment with your preferred doctor. 

We use an emergency triage system for urgent appointments.  The receptionist will ask for brief details of your problem and a telephone number where you can be contacted by the emergency duty nurse or doctor, who will telephone you.  Depending on your need, you will be offered one of the following:

• an appointment with the emergency doctor that day
• an appointment with a nurse practitioner or practice nurse that day
• advice on treatment at home
• the first available appointment with your preferred doctor

If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else.
