GP Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.
The average earnings for GPs working in Pickering Medical Practice in the last financial year ending in 2020/21 was £70,008 before taxation and National Insurance. This is for 4 full time GPs and 3 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

Recent NHS Guidance on the use of Facemasks

When you visit the Surgery you are no longer routinely required to wear a face mask unless it is your preference. HOWEVER if you have respiratory symptoms, or any symptoms which you think could be covid, please wear a face mask as you would have previously.

Staff are also not required to routinely wear a face mask unless it is their preference. However, if they are working with untriaged patients attending with respiratory symptoms, or any symptoms that could be Covid, they will wear a mask and PPE as previously.

This guidance will be reviewed and adjusted if there is a rise in covid cases.
